In his book 'The Beginners Guide to the Bible', Krantz summarizes the first four books of the Bible's New Testament; The gospels, that tell the story of Jesus. Covering this story from a variety of perspectives, all of them hitting on a few major points:

2. Jesus works miracles and teaches people.
3. Jesus is unjustly executed.

Even though the Old Testament never refers to the Savior as “Jesus Christ,” we see many of His other names; Messiah, Jehovah, Emmanuel, Redeemer, Holy One of Israel, Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace, etc.... Old Testament prophets predicted His birth, His ministry, and His saving sacrifice. Isaiah gives a multifaceted description of the Messiah who would come to redeem God’s people.

Isaiah 53:4–5 gives a progressive testimony of Jesus’s upcoming sacrifice, saying: “However, it was our sickness that He Himself took, and our pains that he carried; yet we ourselves, assumed that He had been afflicted, struck down by God & humiliated. But he was wounded for our offenses, He was bruised and crushed for our wrong choices: the punishment for our peace was given to Him; and with his wounds we are saved.”
