The attached blog is eloquently written & includes many appropriate verses.
"Biblically, a spiritual awakening is not a waking from spiritual sleep but a resurrection from spiritual death. All people are born in sin and are spiritually dead. Ephesians 2:1 states that, before we knew Christ, we were dead in transgressions and sins. Our need for spiritual awakening is profound: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ”'
(2 Corinthians 4:4).
It's highly recommended that you research context around the verses that speak to your spirit or situation.
By; David Thomas
In this Seven Minute Seminary episode, Dr. David Thomas speaks to the head and heart and offers a working definition of what it means to experience spiritual awakening, both at the individual level and as a people of God.
What is awakening? Awakening is the outcome of personally encountering Jesus Christ, through whom the love of God the Father is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Awakening both results from and leads to deep wholeness in people, renewal of the Church, evangelization of a generation, and transformation of society.
