Why Lyrics Matter
As a strong creative spirit, I have always connected with music. When I was younger, I used to think that the beat was the only inspiring aspect of music, but as I grew older and started to listen to the lyrics, the words have captured my soul.
And they haven’t let go.
Words hold power; over you & over others.
Words have been used to establish cultures since the beginning of time; through stories, songs & legends, long before we could write words down.
Music can accomplish much that a mere conversation cannot. Music can connect random strangers through shared experience; can encourage healing and challenge old thought patterns. Music can confront social issues and change people.
Even now, modern science is proving that sound waves, tones and frequencies impact our biology and our minds. This is the beauty of sharing stories, we get to see how music has touched others. in some cultures, they believe that sound & music play a part in healing our bodies. This is why we share.
Music moves me in every way.

Have you ever listened to a song and felt that the very universe itself is speaking to you through the lyrics about a topic, issue or question that you've already had on your mind?
This happens to me all the time and is often the starting point for my artwork.
Song Lyrics have regularly been these message bringers for me; and personally, they have played a huge part in encouraging me in my growth & healing.

These collaborative playlists have played a huge role in my journey towards healing, inspiring self-reflection, clear motivations and positive change in my life.
It is my hope that these lyrics will touch you, as they have touched me. That will look different for everyone, but in the long run I hope you are challenged to look inward and to walk this life in a good and kind way....
